Comic Affirmations, 50-56 — Halfway!
An exercise in simplified line and positive thinking, a daily affirmation comic for the 2024 100 Day Project.
I outlined the comic affirmations self-portrait project I am doing for the 2024 100 Day Project in this post. (Links to previous weeks are at the bottom of this page.) I am updating a “weekly” page each morning, so this page will be updated each day as the week unfolds.
50/100: I look for silver linings.
(Thoughts on day 50: an optimistic start as we reach the midway. About the art: as I looked at this one over the day before posting, I realized the head was too squashed. This is a problem with others, I know. It’s something I tend to do without realizing it. I don’t usually go in and restructure once I’m done, but it was the weekend, and it made sense. Getting better at seeing and addressing things like this is good. It would have been okay, but this bit of height makes dramatic difference. And it may be that the first one changes the angle a bit and was okay.)
I have decided to put a wall in place for the rest of this week. I will be sharing this project at various points, so the rest of the week will be shared in a public post later. This is not intended to make people change their subscriptions. This mostly is to give me a more private space for now, especially since these day-by-day posts are not being viewed by many.
Note: Because I have put up the wall, comments are available only to paying subscribers. This is the way substack works. You can comment on the Sunday post, or at Instagram.
