Comic Affirmations, 57-63 (Week 9!)
An exercise in simplified line and positive thinking, a daily affirmation comic for the 2024 100 Day Project.
I outlined the comic affirmations self-portrait project I am doing for the 2024 100 Day Project in this post. (Links to previous weeks are at the bottom of this page—or browse here.) I am updating a “weekly” page each morning, so this page will be updated each day as the week unfolds.
57/100: I give my heart to projects that speak to and reflect my soul.
(Thoughts on day 57: this one became a huge puzzle. I’m glad it was the weekend because I simply couldn’t settle on words. This is really an “I pick and choose” message. It’s a reminder that I don’t have to say yes or do more or do things just because. But finding the right words was a challenge. I initially had a bright background in place, and it didn’t feel right. I tried to change the words, but I ended up leaving them and changing the background to tone things down. About the art: I took an easy road with this one, and I’m trying to not feel guilty about that! But I had fun still getting it ready.)
Paywall note: The remainder of the post is available to paid subscribers. I will be sharing this project at various points, so the rest of the week will be shared in a public post later.
Note: Because I have put up the wall, comments are available only to paying subscribers. This is the way Substack works. You can comment on the Sunday post, or at Instagram.
