Episode 208: Almost the Same

A book on Wayne Thiebaud and thoughts on projects (and processes) that are similar... but different.

It’s December, a time that brings to mind tea and pastries and beautiful, magazine-worthy table spreads. There aren’t a lot of pastries (or any) making their way into my days right now, but the more I study Wayne Thiebaud’s work, the more I want a scone or a petit four… to draw!

I have been very fascinated by and hooked on the work of artist Wayne Thiebaud in recent months, and a biography of Thiebaud for middle readers forms the basis and anchor for today’s show. This is definitely a book to check out — even the adults.
