Episode 237 of the CMP, a Creativity Matters Podcast
In this episode of the CMP, the lowdown on recent equipment failure (oh no!) and the total spiral it caused. The upshot is that I had to admit that there was no way, at all, that I could fathom not having a way to talk and tell these stories and unravel this creative journey via the Creativity Matters Podcast. It was a long few hours while I stewed about what to do. Mixers don’t grow on trees though, and I ultimately did what I had to do. Now I’m all discombobulated about a possible summer setup… one that would give me flexibility down the road… At least the immediate problem was solved! But the overall tenor of that weekend was one of feeling trapped (by being unable to record) and then feeling disenchanted (by the crush of all of us vying to be heard). And then I bounced. We bounce, and that is a good thing. The bounce keeps us upright and moving forward. Plus, I take a look at a book on drawing simple, but happy, people.
“This is my endlessly recurrent temptation: to go down to that Sea, and there neither dive nor swim nor float, but only dabble and splash, careful not to get out of my depth and holding on to the lifeline which connects me with my things temporal. ~C.
