Episode 305 of the CMP, a Creativity Matters Podcast

In this episode of the CMP, a review of Doodlebug, a YA book by Karen Romano Young that has wonderful graphic novel form. I was planning to talk about this book anyway (because I really enjoyed it and read it slowly and over time with the CMP in mind), but it now ties in with my #100dayproject, so it has new relevance. I think you will enjoy this book if any or all of the following is true. You:

  1. Love graphic novels

  2. Love to doodle

  3. Love the idea of sketchnoting your life

  4. Have teens (or tweens)

  5. Have ever felt like art helps you balance

Doodlebug is delightfully dense for a graphic novel. It’s small in size, but there is a good bit to take in, and there is quite a bit of text to balance the doodles and illustration. Also in this episode: the CMP List Challenge, the #100DayProject, and a quick look at a new book from Tamara Laporte.
