The biggest changes for me I think is that I have started a list of things I don’t have time to draw right now but want to remember to draw later & want to do it & don’t think oh I hate this drawing & drawing anything anymore. Someone posted about back journaling & I thought oh I can back draw if I can just remember. Amy, I hate it when I think I am doing something unique to me or maybe even not unique but not mainstream everyone is doing it. Last week my sister sent me some meme about women my age and sourdough, plants, pickle ball & something else I can’t remember- I told her that is me, a living middle age cliche. At first I was bothered by it but then I thought none of those things are hurting anyone or bad so what do I care….Hooray for Cliche! Just like the balance and purpose with words vs images, it is a balance between drawing from my head and using a reference photo- I’m learning to value & enjoy doing both. Happy Saturday Everyone!

I know that Lynda really wants us to draw from our head but I find it very difficult to draw without some kind of reference photo to at least give me a framework if I'm trying to draw something not completely made up like a monster
