Someone on Insta is hosting Rattober - a month of rat drawing, and I think I'm going to do that!
Inktober feels very stressful to me. The work isee people doing is incredible.... and soooo intimidating!! It feels very high stakes and I don't enjoy it.
Wow, I love your portraits! And I'm with you: I rarely use the prompts for Inktober. It's more an excuse to do my own thing and focus on ink for a month.
Thanks, Kelcey! I think lots of people do their own thing or use alternate prompts at this point. How we respond to prompts sometimes changes over time. I always draw in ink, so I find that having "some" series in progress makes the month feel like something different than "what I always do." Lol.
I'm realizing that my anti-prompt stance has already caused me to do some staring at the blank page wondering what I'm going to draw. I need to build a better plan into my system--or just start doing the prompts! :)

There really IS a set of prompts for every interest, right? That sounds perfect for you!
Yes! I'm pretty excited. 🐀
I just decided to try a quick ink portrait a day. No prompts what-so-ever.
