Mexican chocolate and cardamom is my go to, and I’m a 4 I imagine, thank you for all the great library recommendations!

I tried a new ice cream flavor at a shop yesterday and it was terrible. I chucked half of it, it’s ok - the focus was on an outing with the kids and I supported a small business. I am happy to try new things when the focus is on the bigger picture (socializing, growing my art skills in different media, etc.). In the library world they call it reading outside your genre, it’s always good to do once in a while.

A hot fudge malt / shake is my go to. So a solid 1. Lol

I like Ben & Jerry's Phish Food and I'm about a 6. It depends on my mood, sometimes I just want the comfort of familiarity and sometimes I'm bold and willing to try the new and exciting thing.

The rainbiw colors and delicate lines in that graphic novel are incredible! I can see why you are so enamored with it. 🩷

I’m more of a salty snack person and I love a nice crisp French fry. If I am going to eat ice cream I typically get rocky road, chocolate chip, or cherry Garcia. I also like a coke float.

I am probably a three. I love trying new places, but I tend to order familiar things once I get there.

I think my journal has slowly changed over time and I do try, what to me are are experiments. I haven’t flipped through all of my books, but I’m sure there is a change.

I wonder if the artist you mentioned, who changed directions suddenly, left a trail behind the scenes. A transition over time that the public didn’t see?

I like the idea of adding experiments into the journal. Maybe in some kind of intentional way. A pocket, a door you can open...

Non-dairy (usually Oatly) with some chocolate chip sprinkled on top. 💚💚💚💚💚

I found my favorite flavor of ice cream, after many years, in Ben & Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk. Chocolate ice cream with walnuts and pecans, chocolate covered almonds, and both white and milk chocolate chunks. My favorite ice creams have nuts! But it’s rare I can find that flavor. Around here, the Blue Bell brand can’t be beat, and I love their Blackberry Cobbler flavor they do in the summer (no seeds!!), Buttered Pecan, and Key Lime Pie flavors. Yum yum!

I think I’m a 4-- I love my favorites, but my motto is “variety is the spice of life.” That’s maybe why I love to get two scoops.

Thank you for the new list-- I have settled my back-to-school life down, and want badly to get back to my journal. It brought me such joy and satisfaction last spring. I do have several people who will give me positive feedback.

I’ve always liked mint chip though I’m not really an ice cream person...I have a secret love of Cheetos Paws which I used to buy every once in a while and hide them from the kids so they wouldn’t eat them all. (I haven’t bought them in forever since they’re so expensive these days, but that’s probably a good thing!) I would put myself at a 5 on adventure...it depends what type of new thing it is. Though I guess “5” is avoiding making a decision on a scale of 1-10.

I love the experimenter approach in your art, I like to do it that way too. Slowly trying a new thing to add to the old things.

I am probably a 5 - depends on the day and what I am doing and how I am feeling.

My favorite ice cream is rocky road or maple nut and for gelato, it's pistachio. I eat gelato far more often than ice cream. I prefer sweets that are best at room temperature.

I’m late to the party but my go to is pistachio and I am (if I admit it to myself) a 2. I would like to be more adventurous but I’m not - unless you count art supplies 😀 Thanks for all the great book recommendations.
