I am excited to read this book with a small group. I confess that I often start books like this and then at some point I lose interest, unintentionally, and never finish them. So, maybe all of you will hold me accountable. As far as the subject matter, I am all in. My mother’s side of the family definitely believed and still believes in ‘woo-woos’, as we call them. The one random playing card you find unexpectedly, a feather on the ground in a strange place, or a piece of ephemera you pick up and it has a family name on it. All of that to say, again, that I am looking forward to reading! Thanks for the guidelines!
Awesome! I’m so glad, and I appreciate this comment. Woo-woo is a term I use for many things, too. At the same time, I do all of these things, listen to the universe, and so on..... I’m going to go around the part of me that is definitely in the way :)
I am looking forward to it, Laura. Even for realists, these things exist.... if we are open to them. But I think this book will be a real deep-dive. Bring on the magic in the new year!
Yes I’ve been trying to take a week off reading every few months. It’s another Julia Cameron’s “the artists way” thing for trying to jump start creativity. She says reading fiction is a blocked creative’s sedative or something like that.
I’m in! I’ve got the book all ready to go. I’m a firm believer in symbols and such, but find I rarely see them. Hoping this helps me to be a better observer.
I really love Robert Moss, and I have trouble reading him because his writing is so full of resonance. For instance, I’m working on Chapter 1, and I get tangled up in his quote from Yeats and I find some really incredible poem by Yeats at poetryfoundation.org. … and then I look up numen . . . and, and, and. It’s a multi-dimensional read. I hope I can sort of keep on track.
Wonderful! I hope you enjoy this one as a next Robert Moss read for you. I am sure we will all branch off in our responses as we personalize our experience with the book. That makes it a potentially exciting pick!
Just ordered a copy (my library doesn’t seem to know of its existence 🫠) but it should arrive in time for me to read the first chapter by the 4th. I have had several serendipitous moments in just this last month that caused me to wonder how many more I may have missed! So I’m thinking this book comes along at the perfect time!
Wonderful! I’m so happy you’ll be joining us -- and happy to hear you have been noticing moments of serendipity. I think wondering what we are missing is an excellent perspective for reading this.
Awesome! I’m happy this one caught your attention. There was so much serendipity focus in our last shared book .... but not necessarily in a way that worked for all of us. I feel like this is serendipity 2.0 ... no strings.
Wonderful, Ann! I hope you enjoy it. We’re taking a slow pace (really just to give time for us to “live” in some of this rather than just race through the literal reading), so there should be no problem catching up. Thanks for letting me know you are reading along.

I too am interested in a read-along of this book. Going in with an open mind (and heart) and a lot of curiousity!
Wonderful! I look forward to sharing this reading with you. Curiosity is a great foundation from which to start this exploration!
I am definitely a realist, but I DESPERATELY want there to be magic, serendipity, signs, and messages from the universe. I have my copy.

Count me in! I am doing a reading fast until the end of the year and this will give me something to look forward to.
Wonderful! I’m happy to hear this. Reading fast!?!

Awesome! I appreciate this ... I hope the book will bring new ways to see and recognize the many symbols around us.
Hi, Amy,
I really love Robert Moss, and I have trouble reading him because his writing is so full of resonance. So excited you have chosen this.
Going off to meet with my book elf...

My library had an ebook available...so I guess that’s a sign . Thanks for this opportunity, Amy. 💙
Wonderful, Kortney! That's exactly the spirit! I'm so glad you'll be reading along.
I have the ebook ready to go and I'm all in! I love all things woo woo so I'm super excited!
I think I replied elsewhere and just noticed I didn’t reply here.... we’re underway! I hope you enjoyed the first week.

I plan to read this book. Waiting for my copy. Sounds interesting.
