Love the postcard challenge. I have always loved postcards and have a huge collection of postcard sent from friends on their travels. We're having difficulty with postal service here in Charlottesville, VA so I haven't received the postcard mailed to me in July from a friend who spent July and August in Maine. 30 years ago when I was a 2nd grade teacher and my husband and I had finally cobbled together enough funds and vacation time we traveled to Germany (over my spring break) and I sent a postcard to every single one of my 28 students. That's a wonderful history with postcards, Deb. I'm sorry to hear though that there are mail system issues. I suspect postcards might easily be lost though, really.
